Alf crying at not only Sally's farewell but when Cassie left was nice and sad Poor man. Drew I think I got a bit teary with the Sally scenes, and those tears off Kate were real I say, it was more Kate then Sally which made it even more sad. Luc I too felt that Sally's speech had a lot of 'Kate' it in, but this was by no means a bad thing - I suppose Kate and Sally are in very similar situations regarding where they are heading so its only natural that a speech like that would have connotations with Kate.
Foxy Sally's speech was so touching as well Ross Loved Sally's speech and the reactions of the others to it. I liked that her speech was for Sally but could have the same meaning for Kate. I really felt like she was talking to her acting friends and not to the characters.
And the others reacted to Kate and not to Sally. Lino The speech was nicely timed, and thank god there were no montages, they have been done to death. Eduardo Bearo I really lost it when Sally got up on stage and had to pause for a few minutes before I carried on.
I am dreading tomorrow. Crystal Zoub I couldn't help but think that was Kate Ritchie crying and not just 'Sally' but who can tell, she does it so well.
Jamey-Maria Sally speech was moving and I agree with peoples comments about it being Kate's as well. Ezaz8 I was fine watching Sally's speech until I saw Alf crying. It was so obvious that there was just as much Kate speaking in that speech as there was Sally. Carmelle I loved Sally's speech - she made me cry. Rustysurfer The scenes with her family were really nice. Miles sitting apart before being brought into the family hug in the Pier Diner was quite touching, I felt for him.
Miles was tremendous throughout, his character has put his stamp on the show in such a short time, and this is not always easy to do. Eduardo Bearo All of them sitting on the floor at the start of the episode reminded me of the early years. Anastasia The scenes with her family were wonderful, and me not having seen any of them in their original years, it was clear to me of their relationships with each other, especially Sally and Carly.
I loved the fact that even though they've just had their stuff stolen, they had each other, they had wine and chocolate, and they had a good time sitting on the floor. Also great to see Miles apart of the family again! Alexx Speaking of Miles; I just love him more and more. From him being smart to that student telling her to find a seat to when he danced off the stage when the band begun. He's a great character and I'm SO glad he's not leaving with Sally. Drew Alf sitting in the back crying, when he started I did too.
That's what I will miss the most, his relationship with Sally. Miles was awesome-loved his little jig thing he did when the band started to play. Natasha I was going perfectly fine until Annie started singing. Then everyone else started tearing up and I was gone.
I think tomorrow I'm going to be worse somehow I thought the concert was really sweet. Jen I thought the song was cringe worthy, I can see Charlotte becoming the next Delta, she even looks like a younger version. Dnp52td Thought the song was really fitting, and very Home and Away.
I liked how after it the underscore came in as every cheered and Sally and Annie glanced at each other, that was a nice touch! Alexx I thought Miles was hilarious as an MC, he is such a great and original character.
Ezaz8 Sally's farewell at the school hall was beautifully scripted, filmed and acted, and such a fitting tribute to Sally Fletcher. I too expected a montage as soon as the song started but I'm actually so glad we didn't have one Foxy Thought this episode was absolutely brilliant. The song Annie sung was beautiful, and, and seeing Alf sitting at the back crying was so sad. Ross The absolutely best thing about the concert was Alf's position, in my opinion.
I loved that he was sitting in the back and looked so sad - it was really good acting. Even more impressing considering he actually was not at the concert when they filmed it. Miles is always nice to watch, and I loved his little dance. Vibsen It was so hard to watch Alf just sitting there crying.
Whenever I think of that it sets me off. But the whole Alf thing - my god! I don't know if I'll cope watching it tonight. Whenever I see that picture of Alf sitting at the back with the tear down his face - that is the end of me! If you had listened to words, ". I think that Annie was dressed differently because of the connection Sally and Annie have with the Tom visit. DebinWA I also loved the use of ultra close ups both during the concert and Sally's speech It was a beautiful episode.
Great writing and great acting by all. Jamiehugh I can totally understand about the house being ransacked! I think Sally was leaving and taking what she needed for her new life and leaving the rest for Miles etc.. So to rip the whole guts out of the place and start new was a brilliant idea! Dnp52td The ending was brutal, quite a shock from the emotion that had preceeded, but, it's time to move the set on.
Foxy The clean out of the house which signalled a new beginning when Miles put up the "first" photo. I don't know, part of me though it was a bit heavy, but when else were they going to get the chance to say it? Miles in general seemed a bit serious, but I guess in a way this must be like losing his family all over again. It's good he'll have Ric and Mattie to focus on. Sally's always going to be a part of the house, but Miles is a part of it now, and continuing the tradition and it was sort of emphasized in that as well as the photo at the end, I thought.
Frizbee Sally and Miles have been like twins since they met, its been uncanny, and their parting is all the more poignant given that they have only just been reunited. Miles putting up the photo and taking on the baton from Sally was symbolic I feel. I warm more and more to Miles with each passing week. ChatterBox I liked how they got Miles putting up the new photo and ended with a picture of Sally.
Sally telling him she would be going to Phuket and saying a prayer for his wife and child was lovely. So very Sally. Anastasia I'm glad that Miles said that the whole world was waiting for her, it was so beautiful. Jen Cried my eyes out, great scene. The first thing that made me cry was when Sally said to Miles that she'll pray for his wife and daughter, from then on I couldn't stop. Tamminmad The scene with Miles was great, I am running out of adjectives to use about him.
His reaction to Sally being sorry about not meeting his family was pure, raw pain. It was a farewell to be remembered. She's amazing. It's so wonderful she's been able to branch out into producing as well.
